Umrah Visa Guide for Pakistani Pilgrims
Umrah can be performed for most of the year, and many families in Pakistan plan it around school holidays or Ramadan. The visa is issued by Saudi Arabia and is tied to a package from a provider licensed by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
Choose your destination
This guide explains the two main ways to book from Pakistan: through a Pakistani operator attested by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, or directly on the Saudi Nusuk Umrah platform. It also covers the health rules, documents and permits you need.
Season dates, vaccine rules and visa conditions are set by the Saudi authorities and can change from one season to the next. Check the official notices before you pay.
How to choose
- Decide when to go. Umrah visas are not issued for the Hajj period, and Ramadan, especially its last ten nights, is the busiest and most expensive time.
- Choose between a Pakistani operator, who handles the arrangements and is regulated by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and booking yourself on Nusuk Umrah.
- Get hotel location and transport confirmed in writing. Distance from the Haram makes a real difference for elderly pilgrims and young children.
- Consider group size and support. A group leader who knows the rituals can help first-time pilgrims.
- Before paying a Pakistani operator, check it appears on the Ministry of Religious Affairs' list of attested Umrah tour operators.
