Privacy Policy

How Visawala Pakistan handles information about the people who use this site — and, just as importantly, what we don't collect.

Who we are

Visawala Pakistan (“we”, “us”) operates https://visawala.pk, a directory that helps people in Pakistan find and compare independent visa and immigration consultants. The data controller is Visawala Pakistan, at 226B Tulip Extension Commercial, Sector C, Bahria Town, Lahore, Pakistan.

We operate this directory and separately provide our own visa consultancy and travel services. Where you use the directory to contact a listed consultant, that engagement is between you and that business, not with us. We are not affiliated with any embassy, consulate or government body.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, so we can improve it. It runs on the live site only — not on preview builds or in development. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and processes data on our behalf; your use of it is also governed by Google’s privacy policy.

Alongside standard page views, we record when someone:

  • taps a consultant’s call, WhatsApp, email or website button — together with which agency, city and part of the page it happened on;
  • runs a search or changes a filter, and the terms used;
  • opens an agency profile from a listing;
  • starts or submits the listing form;
  • scrolls past set points on a page.

This is behavioural, not identifying: we do not attach your name, email or phone number to it. Note that tapping a call or WhatsApp button records that a contact happened and which agency it was for — the conversation itself takes place on your own phone and we never see it.

You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser. The site works normally either way.

Listing statistics

Separately from Google Analytics, we keep our own count of how each consultant’s listing performs, so we can report it to the consultants listed here. When a listing appears on your screen, when you open an agency profile, and when you tap a contact button, we record the agency, the kind of action, the page it happened on and the time. This sets no cookies. To count people rather than clicks, each record carries a short code computed from your connection’s IP address and browser type, combined with a secret key and that day’s date. We never store the IP address itself, and because the date is part of the code it changes daily and cannot be used to follow anyone from one day to the next.

What we do not collect

Browsing this site does not require an account. Beyond the analytics described above, we run no advertising pixels and no cross-site ad trackers, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.

What we do collect

Agency listing submissions

If you submit your agency through our listing form, we collect the business details you enter — agency name, contact person, phone number, email address, office address, services and destination countries — so that we can verify and publish the listing. This is business contact information, provided by you, for the purpose of being published in a public directory.

Messages you send us

If you email hello@visawala.pk or message us on WhatsApp, we keep that correspondence so we can respond and keep a record of the request.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, [HOSTING PROVIDER, e.g. Vercel Inc.], automatically records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and requested page. This is generated by the infrastructure rather than collected by us, and is used for security and reliability. Retention follows the provider’s policy.

Consultant listings and public information

Listings on this site describe independent businesses. The information shown — name, address, phone number, opening hours, ratings and review counts — is business information drawn from publicly available sources including Google Maps, and from details agencies submit to us directly. It is not personal data about private individuals.

If you represent a listed agency and want your listing corrected or removed, use the Report or Suggest an edit option on your profile, or email us. We will action genuine requests from the business concerned.

Third-party services

Google Maps. Agency profiles include a map. It does not load until you tap it — nothing is requested from Google, and no Google cookies are set, unless you choose to open the map. Once loaded, your use of it is governed by Google’s privacy policy.

Links to consultants. Call, WhatsApp, email and website buttons take you directly to the agency. We do not sit in the middle of that conversation, we do not receive a copy of it, and we do not charge a booking fee. Anything you share with a consultant is between you and them, under their privacy practices — not ours.

How long we keep information

Listing submissions are kept for as long as the listing is live, and for [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. 12 months] after it is removed. Correspondence is kept for [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. 24 months]. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider under their own schedule.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. You can also ask us to stop using it. To make a request, email hello@visawala.pk — we aim to respond within [RESPONSE WINDOW, e.g. 30 days].

Pakistan’s data protection framework continues to develop, and we will update this policy as the law changes. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under the UK GDPR or EU GDPR, including the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging visa and immigration services. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
