For the e-Visa
- Your valid Schengen, US, UK or Irish visa or residence permit, carried with you when you travel
Step by step
- 1
Check whether you can use the e-Visa
If you hold a valid Schengen, US, UK or Irish visa or residence permit, read the conditions for Pakistani passports on evisa.gov.tr. If you qualify, apply there and print the e-Visa.
- 2
Otherwise, pre-apply online
Complete the visa pre-application on Türkiye's e-Consulate system, choosing the Turkish mission that covers where you live in Pakistan.
- 3
Gather your business documents
Ask your Turkish host for a clear invitation letter, and collect your company papers, bank statements, insurance and bookings.
- 4
Submit your application
Attend your appointment at the embassy, consulate or the visa application centre the mission uses, with your passport and original documents. Give biometrics if asked.
- 5
Pay and collect
Pay the visa fee as instructed and collect your passport. Check the visa dates, entries and permitted stay.
- 6
Travel with your papers
Carry your invitation, bookings and insurance. If you use the e-Visa, also carry the supporting visa or residence permit that made you eligible.
Costs to plan for
- The sticker visa fee. Check the latest fee announcement from the Turkish mission in Pakistan
- The e-Visa fee, if you are eligible. Pay only on the official evisa.gov.tr site
- Service charges if you apply through a visa application centre
- Travel health insurance
- Translation of documents, if the mission asks for it
Why applications get refused
- A vague invitation, or no evidence the Turkish company is real
- Not enough money for the trip
- A stated purpose that does not match the documents
- Previous overstays or entry bans in Türkiye
- Using the e-Visa when not eligible, for example after the supporting visa has expired, which can lead to refusal at boarding or at the border
- Incomplete applications or missing originals
Tips before you apply
- Use only evisa.gov.tr for the e-Visa. Other websites may charge extra or collect your data.
- Your supporting Schengen, US, UK or Irish visa or residence permit must be valid. Check the dates before you rely on it.
- Read the e-Visa conditions for your nationality carefully. They can include extra requirements beyond the supporting visa.
- Apply early before busy trade fair seasons, when appointment slots fill up.
